BT HD Extra - unexpected charges

I took out a contract with BT for TV, Phone & Broadband last year. A month after the installation i got an email identifying that HD Extra was being added to my account. Now when the order was being set up the BT guy said that i'd receive numerous system generated emails from BT and these were just procedural.

Of course the BT Extra became chargeable after 6 months and this has skewed my financials that i did before i opted for BT.

I know what BT Extra is. The issue is that I was never made aware of it before placing the order , it is not listed on the confirmation of order from BT and it was added after the contract started.

IF YOU HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE relating to BT Extra appearing on your invoices. Don't just accept it. Post a brief response on this thread. In my opinion this is a mis-selling issue.

I've had a BT rep call me and told me that I ordered it. I've asked for proof and my letters go unanswered unless i send them recorded delivery.

POST ON THIS THREAD if you have had similar problems.

I had a BT rep call me yesterday to say that i ordered it during a conversation with another BT rep, also that it wasn't on the original order. Now I do recall this conversation and she was correct it wasn't on the original order. BUT it was on the secnod order or possibly the third order (BT failed to complete the order 4 times). Nevertheless the whole goal of moving to BT was to get a competitively priced service that included BT Sport. This is what i thought i had ordered in the initial order, but when i raised an issue when this order failed the rep advised that i had order BT Sport online not on the BT vision box.
Hence he advised that i needed to add BT Sport for TV to the order.

Why does BT make the packaging so confusing?

My argument still stands, i didn't know that HD Extra existed and i didn't know that i'll be paying in addition for this after 6 months.

Phone BT if the initial six months is up and cancel HD.
As its a monthly add on it should be no problem .
