If he didn't go the gym why would he use stuff at home?
He should want to do it for himself, not because you want him to. Has he said he is unhappy with his weight? Is he eating healthier?0 -
I think long term a gym membership is cheaper, also human beings need to go to a place where also OTHER people are working out and training hard, this will give your husband the motivation to do the same... whereas if you buy a rowing machine and leave it in the house, he won't use it as he doesn't associate the house as an environment to work out.
watch these videos with your husband, this channel has great advice on motivation

this book is great for installing the habit of working out, it's been great for me

I have a couple of machines in my spare room and use them daily (well - 6 days per week), in addition to doing other exercises and HIIT 3 times a week.
It depends on the type of person you are.
In the case of the OP's husband, unless he wants to tone up and lose weight, it doesn't matter whether suggestions are for home exercise equipment or gym - it won't work.0 -
I'm the same. I hate gyms and would rather exercise on my own. My wife is the opposite, she does exercise on her own but it is usually because she has been given "homework" or been set a goal by a personal trainer. An exception would be the app based challenges that also keep her motivated.0

OP is a spammer, they're building up posts so they can post links. They apparently already have an exercise bike and cycle 50km a day!0

So does your husband want to exercise?
Will he use a rowing machine?
Is he using the bike you bought from a relative?
Is he/are you doing anything about his diet? e.g. reducing calories0 -
I don't buy a rowing machine yet.My husband is too lazy he is not conscious of his health.he is using exercise bike just for 20-30 min a day.an athlete told me rowing machine, treadmill, an exercise bike is best cardio exercise and it's very effective for weight loss.I need a perfect diet and workout routine for him.his overweight creat many problems in my personal life.I cant realize him this problem.0

If he's using the rowing machine on a daily basis, I'd stop trying to fill your house with exercise equipment that he might not use.
Encourage him to increase his time on the bike.
Don't badger him
It's all well and good saying you "need a perfect diet and workout routine for him" but he needs to buy into that too.
What food is he eating?
Maybe you need to revise your menus.
No point buying exercise equipment if you're serving up ready meals and buying takeaways every other day.0 -
Nothing will change until he wants it to.
you cant make someone change their lifestyle, but maybe sit down with him and see if hes happy about it? if hes happy, then you need to learn to be too. If he isnt, then you can support him.0
