PIP Appeals information/help

Hi
I am helping a relative regarding their PIP claim which has been declined by the DWP. We applied for a MR which was also declined, therefore Appeal forms have been submitted.
We have just got copies of the DWP defence which shows that from a starting point of 0 points to awarding 1 point of MR requests they are now giving 5 points. Still not enough for a PIP award.
I have checked the paperwork and detailed allthe areas where we disagree with the DWP because of the inaccurate and untrue statements which they are making. I intend to put all this detail into another letter to the courts. I have also noted that the DWP do not include a copy of a consultants report in their submitted paperwork, even though this was sent to the courts and has been acknowledge by them, I therefore intend to enclose another copy of this letter with our response.
I have contacted the courts to ask what the approximate time scales are for a hearing to be heard as we wish to attend the hearing and have been informed approx. 29 weeks. As the DWP has replied with their response to the Courts does anyone think that the case will be heard sooner or are the delays caused by the amount of work which the courts are having to deal with?
Thankyou for any responses

Thankyou for your response.
Please could anyone who has been through the process give me a indication of how long they waited for the hearing? The original application was made in July 2017 and the Appeal submitted in February 2018.0 -

As you only recently requested the Tribunal then you could be in for quite a wait. Don't forget that any extra evidence you need to send the Tribunal should arrive at least 10 days before the hearing.
From the time I appealed to receiving a hearing date was about five months. It really does go by areas though, I have read that some people have been waiting a year.0 -

Thanks for all your replies.
I was just confused whether the 29 weeks quoted was from the date we appealed or the original decision date.
From the replies it appears it will be the date from which we appealed.
Thanks for your help.0 -
