I’m reasonably sure it’s legit but I just want to be sure. Does ebay send these types of email out?

Yes.i also had to update my ebay details yesterday,plus change my national lottery details.

Don't click on the email link (ever). Go direct to eBay in the browser, login, then check your messages if you are not sure.
