Second own claim after using CMC

Hi all,

I *thought* the advice on here if a person placed a second claim for PPI themself, or the bank contacted them, after a failed CMC claim, that they still had to pay the CMC.?, as it is in their T&Cs

This article seems to say otherwise.?

Not seen that advice on this board. Indeed, I must have posted the plevin guidelines with CMCs over a dozen times. Others have said the same. Is it in an article you read it?

The CMC service is deemed ended if 6 months have passed since rejection or 6 months after the FOS decision unless the CMC told you to wait as they were pursuing further avenues.

Well I have tried searching for some of the threads, and can see the mention of 6 months in those I have found, so obviously mistaken.

It isnt an FAQ. So, not something that comes up often. About once or twice a week maybe.

What is clear is that the CMCs dont appear to know this and are trying it on. I bet millions will end up being paid to CMCs who should not have been paid.

The ministry of justice said in 2014 that incorrect billing by CMCs could be considered fraud. I wonder if action will be taken against these CMCs.
