Inconsiderate Tenants Living in House I'm Buying

Hi
I need anyone's advice PLEASE! Here's the situation:
I'm near completion in buying a house, it's almost gone through except for signing the contract because the seller cannot get the tenants out of the house we're buying.
So he's evicting them which could take months in courts. I've seen another house up for sale - empty, again with no upward chain. If I decide to cancel the transaction for the first house, how much in solictor's fees will I lose being waiting for so long had nothing to do with me anyway. I've only paid out £250 so far for admin fees.
PLEASE HELP ME! THANKS!

You'd need to ask your solicitor how much, but I would definitely withdraw from the current purchase. Even if the second one falls through, you may well be able to buy more cheaply in a few months time.0

If you are near to completion then I fear that the solcitors fee would be pretty much all of whatever was agreed.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Not sure I'd label the tenants 'inconsiderate' - it is their current home after all. Were they on a contract and were they expecting the house to be sold from under them? Hmmm.0

There are quite a few debut posts this evening with very controversial undertones, maybe i'm getting paranoid. Sure they are all by the same person.0 -
Do you know the reason why they haven't left yet?Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0

Poor you. I find it so inconsiderate when those nasty, scummy people won't vacate their home so I can buy it from under them.
Make sure you disinfect the place properly if you do buy it. No telling what those nasty tenants might have had....0 -
No, but they knew they had to move out 6 months ago because I viewed the property with them and the seller. They told the seller 3 times that they were moving out but they hadn't. Thats why they are being evicted.0

It is inconvenient for you, but is it possible they haven't been able to find anywhere suitable? Moving house is stressful and difficult for tenants too.....0

Its just a thought but they could be in the same situation as me whereby I am waiting for the council to rehouse me. I couldn't just 'up and leave' as that would have been making myself intentionally homeless so my kids and I have had to go through the eviction process which is awful and the council don't exactly hurry themselves.Christians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0

How long was this process?0
