I have one of the Virgin 6 month deals thro e2save 6 months free effectively on contract. I bought one of these phones and called them this morning on 789 and they are sending a letter with the unlock details.
Do they do this just as a matter of course or do you have to tell them a story of why you want it unlocked. I take it you mean they did this without charging.

i will be honest its crappy big time but for a kid its alright first phone and that. someone on hotukdeals has said that quidco has stoped this tracking as its an upgrade phone so if ya want it wait a coupls of days and try it.
So far my quidco was showing tracked and is now validated so fingers crossed.

BTW does anyone know what Lynx are like for delivery. I have been told anytime between 8 and 5. Its a pain to be tied in to the whole day. Are they even reliable to that?

If I recall correctly - they will provide the unlock code only once you have spent £30 on credit - I am sure this applies to either contract (providing your are outside your contract, obviously) or PAYG

You need to request the code, say you want to use an additional SIM. I did it by email, less hassle.

Mine was delivered at about 2.30pm today.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Quidco did not track on my one so I've ended up paying £12.98.

Not happy with this so I'm probably going to return it, hope it's free post.
  • I ordered one yesterday. It turned up mid morning today (delivery man nearly smashed his way through my front door, hy didn't he just ring the bell like normal people?). Any way, its validated on Quidco and already winging its way to CEX who are giving me £16 for it.....

If you've got an old phone, including charger & manual then have a look at Carphonewarehouse (for £10 trade-in)

    Its £12.95 + £10 topup, so £22.95
It comes with £5 on the sim, plus you get £2 when you register your sim.
So Phone & £17 credit for £12.95, and being from Carphonewarehouse, it will be unlocked too

I know slightly more than £4.98, but easier as you can just get it in the shop.
