Hi !!!128075;
I no longer get housing benefit as ended the claim six months ago when partner return to work
Today I got letter as housing benefit review saying my claim has been reassessed because dept of work and pensions have told them the amount of earnings from my employment that they have been using for my old claim if different from amount held by HM revenue
This is from jan to sept last year
Then they asked if income as she printed on letter was income in get ,which is right and had no changes in circumstances during that time which we haven’t
They did say they may be able to clear overpayment if council has been property notified
The HB definitely have the right income as I actually work for the said council the they see what actually I get
Any advice be great

What I can say is that figures held by HMRC are less accurate than those held by the DWP. Don't ask me why or how I have no idea.
I gave up worrying about what HMRC say. Only a few weeks ago they told me to look at my tax account on their website. As is usual every year they have missed off various sources of income and have thus given an incorrect code number for next year. By the end of a tax year I have had at least half a dozen amendments to the coding notice. My sources of income never change from one year to another - only the level of them.0 -
It’s a joke !!!128545;!!!128545;I’ve no idea what to do apart from call HB office

Did you supply your payslips to housing benefit? They won’t know just because you work for them, entirely separate departments and functions0 -
Yes I did
But they get automatically reports if my income drops or raise I was told this by HB officer ages ago as when I had HB it was changed twice but only a few pounds difference as my income changed as system told them that
I’m in Scotland if that helps0 -

It’s your responsibility to report all changes to the council. The changes in tax credits are the automatic notifications but not your wages0
