This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 which explains what you need to do now you are involved in the court process. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What is a "court letter"? Is it a letter from a debt collector threatening court a letter before claim or a claim form from the County Court?0

Read all the other CEL cases, go back 10 or 20 pages on the forum and you will see what to do when, and that ALL cases are discontinued thus far.
Come back when you have read at least a dozen other CEL cases, and tell us whether you have a court claim, or just a letter threatening court.
If so, do the AOS the NEWBIES thread tells you to do, and show us your draft defence copied from all the other CEL ones.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
