When you speak of connection options....to what exactly do you want to connect. Give us some specifics, such as specs for your sytem, what exactly you want to connect to, what hardware you have available, rough price guides etc etc. Basically what you need to do, and how much you can afford to do it.I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

Hi folks

I have 2 pcs one I use all the time the other is upstairs and Id like to be able to use more but it is not near a telephone point.
My computer downstairs has broadband installed and I run a cable to the telephone point in the hall (which is a nuisance). Is there anyway I can connect either or both to the broadband in the hall without cables? one computer would be approx 5metres away the other approx 12 metres away.
I realise this could be the dumbest question ever, if so sorry0 -
DP, you are talking about setting up a wireless network. If you look just below this thread, there is another just starting on setting up a wireless network in your home. You should start there, and if the answers you need aren't there, then post the details of what you need.
HTH
