student loan phone number?

I am trying to ring student loan on behalf of my son to check they have got some information I sent. He cannot ring himself as he is working abroad. I just want a number that takes me through to ask if they have received it, but the number I am ringing needs me to give passwords that he set up which I don't know and he won't either. Any suggestions? I have done this before but seem unable to get through the security this time. The number I have been ringing is 03001000607

Yes I've just found the facebook page and sent a pm. No reply as yet. There doesn't seem to be an email address?

Has your son given you permission to speak to Student Loans on his behalf? If not, they will not discuss his account with you even if he is overseas.

No he hasn't done this yet as he will need to ring them. Previously though I had got through to speak to someone in general terms, they advised me about filling the form in on his behalf and sending off the revelant documents to show his earning whilst abroad. I did this over a month ago and haven't heard anything since. It does not seem to be possible any more to speak to someone without the student's security details which neither of us know. Who does business like this? Why is there no email address for overeas people? It is very frustrating.

Given that you later say "he will need to ring them" this clearly isn't true. IP calls are free or cheap from anywhere, just tell him to make the first call, and if he can't resolve the issue he can ask them whether you can be authorised to speak on his behalf - but don't be surprised if they say no.
