Several parking charges from UKCPS

I was wondering if anybody could help me. I rent an apartment which uses a shared underground car park which is run by UKCPS. Upon moving in, I was provided with an allocated parking space to go with my tenancy and a parking permit to display whilst parking there. Around mid last year, I was in and out of courtesy cars as my car was broken for around 6 months and was in the repairs shop. As a result of swapping courtesy cars, I seemed to have lost my permit in the process without realising. Around March-April time I received a parking charge for not displaying a permit, this was when I realised I must have lost the permit somewhere. The charge was received whilst I was in one of my courtesy cars however I appealed to them and explained my situation (big mistake) which of course they rejected. Due to my appeal they then had: my address details and my name and hounded me with letters and threatening court action for around 6-8 months. However I received no more parking charges during this time as I replaced my permit. I haven’t heard anything from them in a while about this parking charge either as I’ve just been choosing to ignore them. Moving onto this year - in January my car broke AGAIN and I was once again put in a courtesy vehicle. Once again I’ve lost my permit (potentially left it in the courtesy vehicle) as they’re very flimsy and always fall off the dashboard. Back in my old car as I didn’t have the courtesy vehicle long. My address on my logbook is still registered to my parents house and it was just the other week that I went up and collected all my letters. A parking charge dated mid Feb. I have contacted my letting agents requesting a new permit however have not yet received it. They have now issued me with a parking charge dated the 10th March and another dated just yesterday. What do I do in this situation? With the build up of charges I’m convinced they’ll take me to court? Really appreciate any help!

    Some reading

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

Is paragraphing causing a problem on the forum today? Walls of text are often ignored.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

you are being asked to edit post #1 into suitable paragraphs so people can easily read it on phones , tablets and laptops

very few people will bother to read a large chunk of text like post #1 , especially me as I suffer from mild dyslexia and people who post should be mindful to make their text easy to read for everybody, like this reply

the easier it is to read and dissect, the more likely that people will respond with useful information. if you dont believe me , read any book or newspaper of the bbc or sky news websites , or compare my reply to post #1 and decide which is easier to read and digest
