Another big "own space" case.

When will the PPCs learn, if you target the wealthy tenants of luxury apartments you are in for a fight.
Here is another one

Was not Urban Splash involved in another big row in an iconic industrial building near spaghetti junction a couple of years ago?

I wonder what eventually happened as the piece was from August. Surely they could only be done for trespassing as you have to have a permit to park (according to the PPC)
In the second one I wonder if she checked for a ccj, can't have bailiffs without one can she?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Daily Mail ... Link Parking
LINK PARKING AWARDED SCAMMER OF THE MONTH
The Sun ... VCS
"A VCS spokesman said: "We are currently considering our position in relation to the decision made by the court and in view of this it would be inappropriate to comment further as we would not wish to prejudice our case."

There is mention of clearing a debt, probably a CCJ.
IMO the PPC should find an easier target, they could be looking at a claim for harassment here, or even a claim under The Landlord and Tenants Acts. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Ha ha, this is Lakeshore Bristol.
I was involved with some of this. Link Parking were well and truly Gladstoned. On my tickets we went all the way to court and Gladstones failed to submit bundles on time. They ended up having to send a legal rep to defend the unreasonable costs asked for. Got about 50% of these.
For other tickets they lost due to primacy of contract, and they kept coming back to the court and kept on losing. Even tried to appeal, still lost. From what we!!!8217;ve heard only very poorly defended claims lose.
The whole parking scheme was initiated by urban splash to gouge yet more money from residents who already had parking in their leases/tenancy agreements.
HINT 1: for any Link Parking contracts check their agreement with the landholder. There appears to be a flaw in the wording that implies that only the landholder has to display a permit.
HINT 2: don!!!8217;t forget to put section 44 of the companies act in your defence/ witness statement, the landholder!!!8217;s signature is usually some managing agent!!!8217;s office flunky not an authorised person.
Apologies, this site seems to have problems with apostrophies.0 -

Even tried to appeal, still lost.Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.#Private Parking Firms - Killing the High Street0 -
Res judicata shold have been used, every time. Then an injunction against them and a claim for harassment and vexatious claims.0

The ar53wipe of a rag The Mail article has a visoe at the bottom showing you how to beat the unfair penalties....and then proceeds to blather on about the TPT [Traffic Penalty Tribunal].....laughable!!!0

There may also be a case for the owners of the Lakeshore properties to sue the management company or link potentially for 10's of thousands or more, as this kind of ferago is likely to depress the resale value of those properties.0
