Send a cheque for 3p. Would cost them more to administrate and bank it!0

yet more bed press for First Utility! they're not having a good time of late!0

£55 seems like a fair level of compensation. Demanding more makes her seem a bit grabby, particularly seeing as she has brought her (not very newsworthy) story to the attention of MSE.0

So she cashed two cheques for £150 each, even though her final bill would have shown that this was not the correct refund amount and then failed to fully clear the debt resulting from this. The company have apologised, despite not being in the wrong, and have offered her £55 despite the fact that she owed them and had not fully settled her debt, and she has the brass neck to complain about being £55.03 up! The world has gone mad.
MSE running this story is real tabloid journalism. Never mind the objective facts, moral outrage is what we want.0 -
