Hello,
We currently have Tivo and have just been upgraded to the V6 box with Virgin.
Currently with the Tivo box we use a Nikkai AV sender to send the picture upstairs to another tv - this also uses an equivalent of Sky's magic eye so we can change the channel upstairs with a second remote control.
When we swop this box over with the new V6 box will we be able to still use the V6 box and AV sender in the same way? Will we be able to change channels/access recorded programs with a remote control on the tv upstairs?
If this isn't possible how do you do it without the need to run extra cables around the house?
Many thanks!

I think the remote on my V6 is using Radio RF signals rather than IR so check that your sender can handle RF.
Not sure if the remote can be switched to IR so might be worth a google0 -
What video cable do you use to connect your video sender to the TiVo box?
Is it a SCART cable
Is it a composite cable (yellow, red and white cables)
Is it HDMI ?
It should be possible to use the V6 remote over your AV sender, as it supports RF and IR

Think it is SCART.0

V6 doesn't have SCART as far as I know, so you'll need a different adapter. HDMI senders are quite expensiveChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

If I got a scart to HDMI adapter (haven't even checked if they exist!) would my existing av sender work? Or is it a matter of trial and error?0

You'd need an HDMI to SCART adaptor. In my experience adaptors don't always work. A HDMI video sender would be better. Laying a long HDMI cable to the other room would be the best solutionChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
