Moved house, missed appeal deadline

I have a quick question. We moved few months ago and although changed the addresses, clearly not quickly enough. So now I got a letter from the old house weeks after we moved and found the PCN. Since i missed the deadline for appeal I am unsure whether I just write to them asking to update the address for future correspondence and do nothing more or write to change the address but also try to appeal on the basis that we only just received the letter. When i logged on to their website trying to appeal it says its with debt collection and some photos are showing on there as well. Of course cant see the driver.
thank you

If you've moved it is best to let them know. You don't want a default judgment against you because you didn't receive paperwork.

OK, so you will hopefully have already read the NEWBIES thread at the top of this forum and have done the BMPA Insight Google search that tells you how likely it is for this bunch to try court (hint, you won't need any fingers to count the court claims...).
I am unsure whether I just write to them asking to update the address for future correspondence and do nothing more
Yep do that. Relax! No need to appeal to this bunch.
