Received a response to first letter

Ok, I've received a response from UK Parking Patrol Ltd following my newbie template appeal for BPA or IPC members.

No photos of the alleged parking incident have been supplied just a long winded justification for rebuking the data processing of my particulars (photos to follow once I can).

Just wanted to know what I should do next. Do I now wait for LBC or should I write to them again with the following requests:

a) Full particulars of the parking charges
b) Who the party was that contracted with UK Car Park Management Ltd
c) The full legal identity of the landowner
d) A full copy of the contract with the landholder that demonstrated that UK Car Park Management Ltd had their authority.
e) If the charges were based on damages for breach of contract and if so to provide justification of this sum.
The claimant has not responded with any of the above information.

Your help is greatly appreciated

Regards

There is no next step, as the NEWBIES thread post #3 explains.

    No IAS.

    No paying them, just ignore.

Complain to your MP though, that's good in EVERY case. MPs need to all realise what this industry is.
Do I now wait for LBC
Yes but you will know this is unlikely from when you did the Google search the NEWBIES thread post #2 tells everyone to do, for the BMPA info.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I did read it yes, apparently only 13 court appearances last year but almost 14000 tickets issued. Thanks for the quick response and clarification. I'll wait out . . .

Good, just as we all would. No risk of a CCJ as long as you inform them if you move.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
