PCN Notice Help

Hi All,

Received a PCN in the post today 15/3/2018 when the date of the event was 26/02/2018. I think this NTK therefore does not comply with the 14 day policy with the ANPR cameras and I can appeal. Is this correct and how do I go about the appeals procedure?

Thanks

It is not a "14 day policy"
It is a piece of legislation (POFA2012) that must be followed in order for them to hold the Keeper of a vehicle liablefor the drivers actions.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

You never said if this is England or Scotland or which PPC sent the piece of trash to you, nor what the actual purported ''date sent'' was, on the piece of trash?

However the NEWBIES thread was the one to read before posting, to save our typing fingers.
