Free Boiler

Hi everyone

I tried to contact our county council as I had heard that pensioners on pension credit can get a new boiler and installations free.

When there It came up that I had to put a postcode in and fill out details of the person I was requesting this for and it was agreed they qualified.

This person was called by this company who tried to take details but wasn't sure what they were talking about so she asked them to call me.

That was ok but some of the things that were said has worried me.

I have tried to get someone to talk to on both eon and british gas but cannot find anything out.

How do I check on the company to see if they are genuine. They are called ESUK.

The fact that she said "oh I am using my email address as I cannot use the company one because it doesn't work at home" "oh and that goes for me using my home phone as well"

I did a search last night for someone , I agree there are a lot of dodgy 3rd party sites at the top of a Google search

So you were referred to this firm via your council?

Have you gone back to the council and asked if this firm are approved partners in the scheme? Do you have the ability to choose another or choose your own installer?
