I've had a bad year regards to financial issues, I won't bore you. It actually looks like there has been no change.

However, the bank agreed a loan, I paid off all my cards, now have a low interest rate, I've paid back over £2,000 in the last 3 months and I'm on my way to being debt free by next November.

The family have been supportive and we are going to get rid of this once and for all.

Hope you guys are all doing well.

  • Well done everyone the path to financial freedom is sometimes winding and long but eventually we will make it. I am plodding at the moment, numbers aren't going up and they aren't shrinking down fast but none the less they are going down and for that I should be thankful xx

  • Another long hauler hoping to join the party here. £49k to go... :o
  • Had a good read through this thread, some great stories and inspiration. I'm also in it for the long haul and will pay back every penny.

Short story is I was self employed and tough times resulted in unsecured debt. Kept the important stuff up to date and defaulted on most my credit cards etc.

3 years ago the figure was around £23k, now I've settled 3 of 8 defaults and have around £11k to go. In a great job so planning to accelerate the payments after Xmas and hopefully work out a DFD of nov 2014.

Can't wait to see this through and start rebuilding and look towards a move up the house ladder.
