Hi guys, I wonder if you can help me make a decision?

I have got £10700 spread over 3 credit cards. Two of the cards are 18.9% APR and the other is 7.9% (reduced rate for 6 months)

I am tempted to get a personal loan for less than 7%APR to clear these cards so I can cancel them and pay lower interest until paid in full.

Do you think this is a good idea?

  • I'm pretty sure most folk on here would say no to consolidation loans.... no chance of getting a 0% interest card LG? and transfer at least some of the credit to it?

Yeah the win was great and I was really well behaved and paid a straight £500 off the debt, the rest I've sorta kept for Xmas time.... lol

    It doesn't go too bad!!!

Just got a 0% mint card until Feb 09 so should hopefully reduce the debt free date a bit further. Looking forward to 5 days off from Friday and getting 'pie eyed' over xmas!
