offer accepted-should house still be open to sale

For every greedy seller who wants more money there is an idiot buyer who pulls out without explanation (see many other posts on this forum). The seller is simply hedging against the buyer doing something 'stupid'. If your offer has been accepted then you are in the lead to buy.0

Not to get more money. I said that I wouldn't be accepting higher offers.
But to not miss out on further potential buyers in case the sale fell through.
There is too much at stake for a seller to just whip the house off the market because you say you want to buy it.
I agree. My house was on market, had offer, accepted offer, off market. Buyer then advised that they hadn't sold theirs yet ! House back on market, original buyer said they would buy, left it on market just in case and now buyer has signed for house, but as far as I am aware it is still on the market !! Forgot all about that until I read this, should possibly let EA knowGood manners cost nothing -Bad manners cost friends !Murphys No More Pies member #2130
