POPLA rejected my appeal

The car was used to load boxes from the back of a retail unit. This is inside a pay to park car park but in a different area. The car was photographed entering the site and leaving 6 minutes later. It was supposed that the picking up of boxes was in the unloading bay and there was no signage to say a permit was required. POPLA rejected the appeal against this even though the BPA ( of which the parking company are members) state that a grace period of 10 minutes should be allowed and the car was in the area for exactly 6 minutes. Where does one go next? Is there any other way of appealing?

You simply ignore the eejits unless they sue. Same as everyone else.

They have wasted your time, now waste theirs.

Send them a letter before action, there are plenty of free examples on the internet, and you do not have to follow through if you do not want to. The very fact that you have sent one means that they have to devote resources to dealing with it.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for alleged breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
