Is easyjet plus worth it?

What do people think about getting easyJet plus? Is there any way to justify the £199 fee other than the ability to take a bag on to the plane without the threat of it being put in the hold?

You don't really get anything more than you get with a flexi fare apart from free seat selection and free earlier flight on day of departure, you'd have to make a he'll of a lot of flights over the course of a year to make it worthwhile, bearing in mind that up front seats are around £10 and with a flexi just changing the date or time of departure rarely attracts an additional cost.
So no , at £199 I don't think it's worth it.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
It depends on your regular route(s) and preferences. You can choose any seat without fee, and use 'speedy boarding' to avoid the chance of having your bag put in the hold. The fast track security is useful in large airports.
I've flown regularly with easyJet since they began but never considered buying the Plus card. My bag fits under the seat in front of me and I make a point of boarding last, often taking my pick of available seats. These are the Plus card benefits:

Impossible to say as you give no info about your flying patterns or how you value the perks that come with it. If you're flying with easyJet multiple times per week and shell out for a front row seat every time then it's worth it, if you're flying once a year and don't care where you sit then probably not.0 -
Yes, sorry - I fly every 6 weeks on average and don't care about allocated seating or the extra leg room seats. My main concern is the bag in cabin issue where it isn't guaranteed and wastes a lot of time.
I think I should probably just turn up to the gate a bit earlier...0 -
My husband and I travel a lot and we fly out of Luton or Stansted mostly with either Ryanair or Easyjet. This year we decided to buy an EasyJet Plus package and restrict our holiday destinations to those on the Easyjet routes because we do care about extra leg room, extra baggage, not having to use the hold etc. We also thought the flexibility of being able to change our flights at no extra cost would be perfect for us and was a BIG plus. However, despite the restrictions on changing flights being on the website, they do not appear on the promotional information about 'Plus' on the plane. You can only change your flight if you go to the airport to do it and then only three hours before the departure time. This means that if you didn't get onto the earlier flight, you would then have to wait for your original flight which would probably mean 8 or 9 hours in the airport.
We will not be buying another card ~ we feel conned.Cleverly disguised as a responsible grown up.0 -
I have it but would not if I just had a couple of flights. It really does depend on how often you will use it, one or two flights then no. Multiple flights then yes.0

I have easyJet Plus and easyJet Flight Club status as I do about 50 flights a year with them.
Plus to me is worth its weight in gold..the fast track security and speedy boarding are worth it alone and in Germany they are very strict about the extra carry on bag you get with Plus.
Choosing the chargeable seats for no extra cost also helps.
It’s £200 a year I have no problem spending!Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
Of course it's worth it if you fly often enough. easyJet plus seats cost about £20 per flight to get the same benefits. So 5 return trips covers it if you don't care where you sit or speedy boarding then don't buy it. Incidentally buying a flexible fare does give you the same benefit but easyJet plus is much better value than a £300 fare. Where it is an issue is the cost of an extra card. If I travel with my family I can't really use it unless I pay for them to get the front seats.0

You also get fast track security which is usually worth £3-£5 each flight.
Even not using the fast track, then even at £10 per flight "saving", it would take 10 return trips to break even. If you include Fast Track that could drop to six or seven.0 -

But you get that if you book flexi anyway.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
