Window cleaning etiquette

Depends, I tend to tip most low paid service jobs these days. Mainly because I worked for minimum wage in poor jobs for a long time my self so know how bad it was.

Is it a case of one man a bucket and a pair of ladders or an actual professional as in using his own RO filtered water and numerous tools. Either way I'd tip for £3.50 considering I get paid at least 7 times than an hour my self.

Well that's between him and me if we want to be sociable isn't it? It's only reducing his effective hourly rate by making the job take longer. It makes no difference to me.

Our last house was a 3 bed semi and there was a wee guy who came whenever he felt like it and charged £4 for the house (7 windows, not sure how many panes!)

Gosh, that's cheap! we pay £17 for a 4 bed/2 bath detached - with conservatory, but not 14 panels as one full wall is brick.

I pay a fiver, its a bungalow though but he does do the conservatory too.

I pay £3 for a ground floor flat (5 windows) but he also does the other 2 flats at the same time.
