So I've got two credit cards, one of which I've just paid off. I'm looking to get a 0% interest card, so for my credit rating, plus to better my chances of being accepted for one, am I better to cancel the one I've paid off, or just keep it for now?

Perhaps get an appointment with an account manager of the provider of the card you have paid off and ask him if they would be willing to offer you a 0% deal or whatever you are after. So I've got two credit cards, one of which I've just paid off.
