Is anyone here on E10 with spark energy?

I just moved into a flat, and just used the online chat to find what the hours are for e10 (it was a long winded event taking over an hour to find nothing)

I was told offpeak 12.30am-07.30am and peak is 07.30am-12.30am

that is only 7 hours which i mentioned and explained how other suppliers do e10, and they replied
'upon coordinating, , it should be the same as e7, because these have also day and night rate in a multi meter'
then got passed onto an account manager who said
'with e10 we don't support that setup so you rates are billed the same as E7'

It certainly doesn't make sense to me. To me it sounds like I am only getting 7 hours, which they couldn't understand. Am I missing something?

Spark will bill you at E7 rates. Your meter decides what times those rates are applicable and Spark don't really know or care. You need to check what times you are actually switching by looking at the meter. The only down side is that if your meter dies or needs replacing then they will fit an E7.
