Solved:sudden low pressure from thermostatic showe

I've got a gravity fed/low pressure thermostatic shower. A couple of days ago the water pressure halved. I changed the shower hose and then the shower head but it didn't make any difference.

I then googled and thought that it might be due to a leak in one of the tanks in the loft or the ball valve so was going to call a plumber.

I then came across a troubleshooting page on the Mira website and it said to take off the shower head and to position the hose vertically downwards and then run the shower.

I did this and the pressure returned back to normal.

I thought I would post this in case it helped anyone else.

As an aside, when I changed the shower head, the pressure got even worse. I then realised that the new shower head had a plastic restrictor which I was able to remove.
