We currently us a BT business line for business and personal. We find a business line is no longer necessary (providing we keep the number) as well as being dearer than a domestic one.
Is it any more difficult to swap to a domestic line than it would be swapping companies normally?

Physically there is no difference. Business phone lines, however, tend to get priority when something goes wrong (in theory).
It should be a simple case of a downgrade, since a business line is effectively "higher" so to speak because it costs more per month but a previous post suggests you need to be out of contract.0
