Conversation History folder

Today 'Converstaion History' folder has appeared in my Hotmail/Outlook email and I cannot delete it. There is nothing in the folder and I don't know how it arrived there. On checking it seems to have something to do with Skype, Lync and is business related!! Everything I read tells me that I cannot get rid of it and I am concerned about how it has encroached on my email account!!!
Anyone got any ideas or explanations please.
