I know this might be stating the obvious, but I would recommend anyone having any work done to check if the tradesman has Public Liability Insurance.
This should cover any mistakes or problems that occur from their work.

    Don't be lulled into a false sense of security.


    PLI covers damage. It doesn't cover poor workmanship, claims for your time where the job over runs etc. So be careful with what you expect.
    Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
