britannia parking

hi everyone
in June of last year i used a carpark run by Britannia parking for about 10 days in a row.
all fees were paid for each day however on 2 of the days not all of my registration was registered on the printed ticket .within a few days i received a P C N for non payment.
despite speaking to a manager who agreed that payment was made and sending proof to them
they wanted £20 on each ticket for administration costs.
i have now received a final reminder some 9 months later which states an increase of £160 is required .
Am i the only person to be in this situation Terry

You should edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper.
It's not a clever idea to use real names as user names either. If that's what you have done then you should ask a board guide to change it. (Soolin or Crabman.)

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES which will explain everything you need to know about this scam. You are by no means alone.
Did you appeal the two PCNs which has been the advice here since the law changed in 2012.

I believe the chance of Britannia doing court is minute, but you could check on the BMPA motoring charity website to confirm this.

You should complain to your MP about this unregulated cam.

These are some of the comments made by the MPs in Parliament concerning the unregulated parking industry (Feb 2018):

    https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2018-02-02/debates/CC84AF5E-AC6E-4E14-81B1-066E6A892807/Parking(CodeOfPractice)Bill

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.

    Who knows??

If you have inadvertently used your real name as your forum name you need to get MSE to change it to something anonymous

Throughout here you are advised to never reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of the driver

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you

If you need advice read up in the newbies faq thread at the top of the forum

Seriously? This forum is all about people who are being chased for years re parking charge drivel. Every thread is about these 'outrageous scams' (Hansard) and how to beat them.

Search & learn from all the other Britannia threads, and please read the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose) and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
