Ive been on every comparison website there must be out there and am still none the wiser!! I want whole of life insurance, end of story! So when I pop my clogs my funeral costs are paid for. Not inheritance etc etc. Can anyone suggest the best provider or the best search engine purely for this cover??

Whole of life assurance doesnt fall fully under protection classification but many providers fall under investment classification. With most "compare" sites only holding a protection licence, they wont show the products from the investment classification. So, you get very poor coverage on the internet. Can anyone suggest the best provider or the best search engine purely for this cover??
Plus, WOL plans tend to have options, such as limited payment periods or being able to pay the full cost up front (plus others) which make quoting more difficult if you dont know the options.
The other reason internet sites dont like WOL plans is that they are generally low profit. A term assurance pays far more commission which allows greater rebates and the ability to still earn a decent chunk.
Being a regulated financial services product no-one here can recommend best provider as it would breach FSA rules. Another reason is that we dont know your circumstances and the "best" provider will alter depending on what these are.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
