Minor Car Accident

Not really a problrm just venting a minor bump which happened on Friday,

In birmingham at a roundabout waiting to pull onto the roundabout and take the second exit when bang, idiot from behind whacks me. We pull over and the first thing he says is theres no damage so no need for insurance to get involved, i point the dent and scratches in my bumper!! He then tells me he works in a garage and will get them fixed for nothing, I point out its a lease car and i cant do that. I call my office and the leasing company (which i have to do) and he starts getting all racist saying another car hit him and pushed him into me then the other car drove off.

He then tells me hes a bodyguard!! ( i have no idea why)

Anyway when he realises its getting offiicial he starts taking pictires of my damage and tells me his boss wont be happy and will be callng my company.

Insurance company advised me to make a statement at the police station as it was hit and run, went down there and explained they told me i was fine but its up to the driver who hit me to report the hit and run within 24 hours or he could be prosecuted for faling to report an accident!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the upshot iss

Minor damage to my car, possibly the other driver facing a prosecution (he deserves it anyway racist git) and maybe the birmingham bodyguard mafia after me........

Did you mention the racist remarks and implied threat to the police?

Police were less than interested about this being honest, when i was on the phone to the leasing company he asked to speak to them and gave they guy on the phone a blast of his racism, unfortunatley for him, all calls ase recorded so the guy is making a complaint about him,

The whole thing is so dodgy, its a minor bump, in my own car i would have left it being honest but its a new car and i'v only been in the job for three weeks so i was taking no chances.

Im waiting for lots of calls from him this week when he gets the estimate from the garage, gonna be a new bumper plus spraying!!!!

...and presumably a hire car while yours is being fixed? Just tell him to call the leasing company - nothing to do with you, is it?
