Help! Stain on vinyl floor
Jurg
Having bought a large multipack of toilet rolls, it remained on my bathroom floor for several weeks. During that time some water must have found it's way under said multipack. Anyway when I came to remove it I found that some of the colour from the plastic packaging of the multipack had transferred itself onto the vinyl flooring, leaving a purple stain.
I live in rented accommodation, and the property is new. If I have to pay for a new bathroom floor when I move out it's going to swallow up most of my damage deposit! I've tried scrubbing the stain off, but the effect has been negligible. So far I've only tried conventional bathroom cleaning products (Cif and Mr Muscle), to no avail. Any suggestions on how I can remove this stain?
Any help appreciated!

Try Acetone,( nail varnish remover), it works on laminate flooring.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

I'd try methylated spirit if you have any or else white spirit. I'd try those before acetone as they are less likely to damage the surface. Either way first test on a piece of vinyl where it won't show (like behind the toilet or washbasin)

Thanks, that's got most of it off. Hopefully a few more applications and it will all be gone.0

Try diluted bleach with washing up liquid it works a treat on vinyl it may need a few goes. Try it in a corner first. I've always used bleach on vinyl......don't forget to rinse it with some clean water.
The stain will come out don't worry don't use an abrasive as this will damage the surface.;)
