Burton store card PPI claim, request for advice.

Hello,
I took out a store card with Burton when I was 18 or 19, getting on for 20 years ago now, when I was either an A-level student or working on what was loosely called a gap year prior to uni. My memory is a little hazy but I'm fairly sure that when I signed up for the account card I was told that I had to have the insurance in order to get the account and thus the discount on what I was purchasing.
I don't have any paperwork for this account but I filled in the online form on the Santander website and they replied with an account number and confirmation that I had PPI.
Should I now request more information about the account from them or should I fill in the complaint form on their website without doing this? I ask this because I don't know the exact date I opened it and what my work status was.
Thankyou in advance, LBW
