Italian bank account for non residents fee free

Dear Forum, I would like to open a non-resident Italian bank account that is free - so no monthly fee for having the account. I know there are charges for transactions but I would simply like to open an account and when I go there on holidays put a small amount in to keep the account open and this don’t want an account that has a monthly fee - like a normal uk account that is free. I have my Italian tax code and I mainly want an account so that if we can afford to buy a property over there in a few years I have the account set up.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated - thank you.

You might be lucky and find someone on here who has answers for you, but I'd have thought an ex-pat forum would be a better place to ask.0

As Italy use the Euro, any Euro account would probably do. Search the Forum for Euro account - it's been discussed at various times.0
