executors accounts

I have had a close family member died recently and another family member and I are the two executors. We need to open an executors account but the trouble is we live in two different places and a lot of the banks we have asked insist that you both go into the same branch together to open the executors account, can anyone suggest a bank that will allow you to go to two different branches? (Please don't suggest RBS we did open an account with them and they have been really hopeless which is why we need to open a new one elsewhere.)

Do you two execs have accounts with the same bank by any lucky chance?
My co-exec and I did fortunately, and it was the same bank as the deceased, so it was all surprisingly straightforward on all fronts, through our different branches to open an executors’ account
That was NatWest, so a positive experience for me in a difficult situation.0 -
Have you asked any banks at which one but not the other has an account? I know when I've been adding signatories to a NatWest account for a club I'm involved in that it's much easier if the new signatory has an account already.Signature removed for peace of mind0
