Looks like a carpet beetle.
You don't usually see them as they disguise themselves with fluff from carpets etc. Then they are known as 'woolly bears'. That is the larval stage; your's is an adult one.
Guess what they eat?

They eat pet fur too. I had the two spot version in a house several years back.Officially in a clique of idiots0

What about this one? It's the same size as a ladybird and sitting in the corner of a windowsill. Having had a new wool mix stairs & landing carpet recently, I'm nervous...
