Woke up this morning to find this thing on my bed.

Anyone know what it is and if it's anything to worry about ?

Looks like a carpet beetle.
You don't usually see them as they disguise themselves with fluff from carpets etc. Then they are known as 'woolly bears'. That is the larval stage; your's is an adult one.

Guess what they eat?
Clue's in their name :-)

Thanks. Glad it's not bed bugs !


I cleaned the room from too to bottom today and couldn't find any, the mattress is only 2 years old too, vacuumed it and saw none of them.

They eat pet fur too. I had the two spot version in a house several years back.

What about this one? It's the same size as a ladybird and sitting in the corner of a windowsill. Having had a new wool mix stairs & landing carpet recently, I'm nervous...
