HTB transfer to LISA can i now get a Cash ISA?

I have just transferred my HTB Barclays ISA to a Skipton LISA. I know you cannot have a HTB ISA and Cash ISA in the same tax year. But now my HTB is closed and transferred to a LISA. Can i now open a Cash ISA in the same tax year?

Yes, because the current year contributions that went into the HTB (which was a specialist type of Cash ISA) and have now been transferred into the LISA are now considered to have always been in the LISA this year - as if they had never been in and out of a Cash ISA. So you can open another Cash ISA if you like.
