Worth mentioning that tyre grip and wear etc is subject to the soft/hardness of its compound.
Cuts and sipes vary by tyre design, whether composite of asymmetric and this can affect the physics applied.
Trying to simplify things, I would just replace those required and use a better brand of tyre for any driven tyres at the very least.
I also wouldn!!!8217;t bother with replacing front to rears when the tyres are part worn.
Used to have a little hatch and the rear budget tyres last over 60k and the fronts were mid range and replaced accordingly when down to 2 or 3 mm. Never bothered with tracking as the wear was even. Drove the vehicle sensibly, so not trying to push the limits.

I have a company lease car, tyres only get changed at 2mm. Sometimes I have one tyre, sometimes more. I don't spin off the road every 5 minutes or have any handling issues that make the car un-driveable. Maybe its because I'm such a good driver, or maybe this is all a load of rubbish created by tyre manufacturers and sellers to drum up more business? Who knows, me personally doing 30k miles pa I don't have any issuesOne man's folly is another man's wife. Helen Roland (1876 - 1950)0
