Nelski please would you pass along the strength and fortitude of the Wolf Spirit to our dear Holly; hopefully this will help her to endure.

Having seen how that poor lass has been treated, I really do feel I dodged a pretty big bullet with my own brush with the MH "professionals". Ugh, it doesn't bear thinking about! :(

Still - I have Lizzie Sprocker Spaniel here for her holiday; she already found a manky old crab apple (one that Mr LW missed when he did Lawn Patrol yesterday) and it took me an age to get it back off her, the naughty girl!

ETA: Floss cross-posted with you - I hope you can have some pleasant memories to help you through the difficult time of year.

    Good afternoon all,

Raining here and has been since late yesterday afternoon. The stream down the steps across the road has turned into a raging torrent,I could hear it when I took Ly1a out this morning

Nelski -what a lovely idea to send a card from us all,and thanks for updating us yesterday. Please send my love & best wishes to Holly and hope her stay has a positive effect. We are all thinking of her xx

DGS is still here after his overnight stay,he's sat watching Shrek with his Grandpa & Daddy.DGD is at a party but she may visit tomorrow.

My friend did come yesterday and we went to an Italian cafe.I had a slice of carrot cake and coffee, and she had smoked salmon bruschetta as she hadnt had any lunch,I cut a piece off my gigantic piece of cake for her too.She enjoyed the afternoon anyway,it was a belated birthday treat from me.She brought a NutriBlend bullet type smoothie maker with her that I bought from her ( well actually DSons have bought it for my Mothers Day pressie :)).She got it for her son at Xmas but hes never used it and agreed to sell.Got some F&V this morning and have had a bit of an experiment :D .It's much easier to clean than the juicer so I think it'll get more use.

Curry for tea tonight, and I've got a beef joint for tomorrow that can go in the sc.Hope everyone has the best weekend they can xx

Nelski, please add my name to Holly's card, she's in my thoughts
  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Nels, please add me to the card, I hope Holly is soon back with us. She has been so badly treated through all this.

Late getting up this morning, once I had cleaned the worktops etc in the kitchen it was lunch time.

I brought the car round so we could put the stuff in for the tip run tomorrow.........talking to my neighbour over the road this morning, her son was one of the witnesses to my daughters accident last week. She is getting on ok, Dr has signed her off work for another week.

Great grandson was one yesterday, the year has flown by, he went on his first train ride yesterday and the sealife world.

We have had a couple of showers this morning, its rather dark and gloomy but not as cold as it has been recently.

Spag bol and garlic bread for supper tonight. We are at DD2's for lunch tomorrow.

I’m back after the afternoon tea and am enjoying being horizontal for a short while.

FBO - yes, probably was me. Sorry we missed each other again. I was collecting the party food and the lovely assistants couldn’t find one part of the order. After a bit of a longer search it turned up. It all looks very tasty.

The afternoon tea was splendid. Only six of us so not too big a table. The posh hotel was packed! Seems that there is an ‘Old Firm’ game on tomorrow so many people were doing the Mother’s Day stuff today. DM is very tired now so is on the sofa watching a bit of TV before our guests return for the buffet. I’m a bit cream crackered myself TBH.

My cousin proudly showed me his collection of British money - ten old pound coins and some old paper money too. I took them from him, gave him new in return and will get them swapped at my bank or P.O.

Nelski - please add my good wishes for Holly too. I hope she’s safe and warm.

Dp1 - your father’s birthday celebrations sound just dandy too.

Thanks for all your good wishes for my DM and her birthday, I really appreciate them all. Now I need to inspect the inside of my eyeballs for a wee while.

Popped in just now and had to read back to find out what had happened to Holly.
That poor girl. Professional these people may be, but where was their compassion and understanding. Their behaviour was calculated to cause the maximum anxiety and distress.
I don't understand al the secrecy and cloak and dagger stuff.

Jackie0, I love all you do for little charities. I much prefer to support little local charities rather than the big glossy ones.
I love the memorial for lost babies too. There is a similar garden in the National Arboretum as well. I love to read the messages written on the stones and always breathe a few prayers of gratitude for our own healthy children.
I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.

It's been a wet old day today, the hardest rain I've seen for a long time!

What a lovely thought Nelski, please add my name to the card (hope it's a big one, there are a lot of names to go on!), I wish Holly well.

Glad you and your DM enjoyed the afternoon tea Gers, have a lovely evening.

Just had '5 minutes' (well over an hour actually), I went to the allotment earlier but it was so cold and wet I gave up after half an hour.
