I've used my Kindle Fire tablet when on holiday to access the internet on free Wifi in hotels etc.. However, today my OH was stuck in an airport terminal with a flight delay so he tried to use my Kindle but access to the free Wifi was denied with a message stating that the public access was not secure. We don't use the Kindle to do anything other than read books or access the internet to read newspapers. Is there any way around this? Technically, it rendered the tablet completely useless!
Kindle uses the 'Silk' browser - maybe I should download something else?

The warning about it being unsecure was just that, could he still not carried on and used the kindle ?
It can still be used as a e book reader so not useless.
A change of browser probably wouldnt change anything, maybe a vpn would have been of use.0 -
Yes, I see what you mean. Guess I have to accept that security is the most important thing. Thanks for your help.:)0
