Hi All

I once fought unfair parking ticket many years ago through POPLA and was successful.

I remember using template from MSE and it was pretty straight forward.

Recently I got another parking ticket wherein my car overstayed

Now my appeal has been rejected by ParkingEye and they have asked me to reach for POPLA

on POPLA website, it looks all different, they want me to select an option against which i want to submit my appeal

I am not sure which option to select, i still want to use the same template so should i use option that says-

The amount requested on the parking charge notice is not correct.

or

Other

Please guide on what is the recommended way of dealing with tickets these days.

Thanks
Regards
M.

You need to read post #3 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where you will find guidance on the option to choose (hint: choose other).

It is also certain that your appeal text will need updating.

That same post in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky will help with that too.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences.

    Parking Eye,
Smart and a smaller company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They nearly always lose) and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas.

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you
