I have now opened an executor account at my own bank.
I appreciate that the limit of FSCS is 85k on my own account, but does any one know if the exec account gets it own 85K protection?

Answered my own query - have used FSCS online help and apparently if the account is labelled as "executor of......" then it gets own protection to 85K. If you have an account in your own name it is added to your other accounts0

Maybe both/either would qualify for the "temporarily high" up to 1 million protection for 6 months.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
