My first NSD in just under a week :beer: :j. Mind you, Sundays are normally NSDs
Hopefully I can extend it to tomorrow as I'm spending on Tuesday evening. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Hello everybody
Had an NSD today but spent ££35 in Tesco yesterday which sets me up for a least 2 NSD's during the week.
Went for a walk in the woods with OH which was lovely. Has anyone noticed how vibrant the colours of the leaves are this year? Apparently has something to do with the wet summer we had so I read. Seemed so tranquil and calming and so much more worthwhile than flogging myself around the local shopping mall!!!!
Contemplated my future moves to get out of the job I'm in now so feel happier that plan is on track to do that. Am going to have alovely soak in the bath later.
Seems simple things like this are giving me so much pleasure at the moment....
:wave: I'm definitely with you on the autumn leaves front! Autumn is my favourite time of year anyway but I do think the trees look fab this year.
Last year they hardly seemed to turn at all.
Last week I had a wander through the park kicking the leaves and it was so rejuvenating I've promised myself I'll do it every day this week.
Then I'll hav to try and walk briskly past the bakery on the way home :rotfl:

Well we did kind of make shows of ourselves
but we had a good day money-wise because of it and if I am going to drag my carcass out into the cold on a sunday morning I need it to be really really worthwhile!
Plus we sold a lot of random stuff that probably wouldn't have been worth the effort on eBay
And we've got to do it all again next week! :eek: :rotfl:

£ 6 odd in Somerfield, drinks for the kids, red pepper for my home made sweet & sour pork ( instead of a takeaway;) ) jar of golden syrup, for homemade treacle tart later in the week & big expense, a jar of lazy red chilli, which is so much nicer than chilli powder & lasts for ages in the fridge.
Made meringues & the kids iced ghost faces on them.
Now feel thoroughly disapointed, with poor Lewis Hamilton losing, he's done so well all season:T better luck next timeComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner :beer:

Aww well done honey :T It's hard to break "the habits of a lifetime" so to speak, so I'm dead proud of you
for standing firm and staying out of the pub two weeks on the trot!! :j
(But roll on payday though huh?!
:beer: )
I've been looking at houses today, (only online) but it's good to have a dream. Otherwise what else are we working for?
(I'm going to be humming Captain Sensible now!
)
Even round here where we'd need to have a LOT more carboot sales in order to pay these house prices! :wave:
And as for books...well they don't sell for much, but if you sell 200 books for 50p each then you've got £100 huh?:dance:
and if you've got £100..well you could buy a few pints with that.
Or a day trip to the coast? Why do fish and chips taste different at the seaside???? I've always wondered.
Give carbooting a go honey. (You don't have to wear lairy coloured clothes and give everybody a free sweetie!
)
