financial statement prep help!

Hi. I need to send a financial statement into my water board - I’m in debt with them and they won’t help me unless I do.
Do I include my sons DLA?
Thank you

    You'll need to ask them.

The general rule is that if you include it as income, then you also include the costs you spend it against. If you don't include it as income, then you don't include the expenses it goes against.

    Are you working? Claiming benefits?

You do include your DLA for your son in the income section but balance the amount with expenditure for your child connected with his disability.

I'd include it, as in some circumstances the payment of PIP may aid the application.
I'd also include the equal and opposite amount as Expenditure, but as one line entitled "Additional care costs for son in receipt of PIP".
I would advice against spreading the PIP amount over the various expenditure headings, as this might then exceed the trigger figures.
