Beware Boost Tele-marketing
Received a phone call today claiming to be from my energy supplier who wanted to make an appointment to fit my new smart meter. I very nearly fell into the trap but I recalled that Scottish Power had already told me they cannot fit one at this time. When pressed the caller said she was from Boost and again claimed to be calling to arrange an appointment to fit my new smart meter but this time it was to fit a new prepayment smart meter.
Judging from the mobile phone number the woman used this sales call appears to have originated from OVO which was my supplier two years ago. But that was a credit meter.
Overall be careful. You could end up switching to a different supplier without your prior knowledge or consent. And shame on Boost and also OVO if they have passed my details to Boost!
