The right bank account, help

Afternoon all,
I wonder if you can help me, I'm due to receive £25k and I want to open a new bank account to put it in and spend in as and when I please, it would be good to earn interest on this but not sure if there's any out there that can do this.
Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas and what account/bank I should go for as I'm stuck and don't want one where I have to keep paying in each month.

If you want a simple current account, Virgin Money have one that has limited online services but does pay 0.75% on up to £100k so that is £187 on your £25k.

It would appear so as the information on the link below confirms. The article is from 2015 so note that the 1% has been reduced to 0.75% although the account features look the same.
