Once you have balanced your bank account check out the budgeting tools on any one of the links below. You might find them useful for budgeting and planning.

Hiya. Might be worth looking into YNAB, an online budgeting tool, it will definitely help you track your spends and also save up in saving pots. Good luck. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You spend *EXACTLY* £50 every month on food?
Something's not quite right here....
and whoever calls fuel 'petrol station charges' - or is it something else?
what about VED on the car?
TV licence? The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Petrol station charges are exactly that money spent at petrol stations ( not sure what you are trying to infer here) I spend 50 a month in a big food shop and freeze things 50 is pleanty. VED I pay annually not monthly and I dont pay the !!!!!phile proctection racket fund AKA BBC "TV license"0

Thanks for that clarification!
Can you possibly let us know the opening balance from the bank statement? Without this information I don't think anyone here can help you much.

Rather than people on this forum guessing what's going on, if you think the sums don't add up wouldn't it be a good idea to get an appointment at your bank for them to go through your statements with you? They can explain what's going on & even refund you if things aren't right, as you claim.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

How very strange.
Yes very strange that you believe you need to pay the BBC to watch any channel do you also pay Ford a fee when you buy a toyota? Or pay tesco a fee to shop in any other supermarket?
Beyond the illogical nature why would you continue to fund a company who have proven to have used the license fee payers money to cover up institutional child abuse in the biggest scale ever seen? Let alone being caught multiple times creating fake news propaganda stories. Bizarre indeed.0 -
